ERICE

There are places in Sicily where the myth is intertwined with the life of ancient peoples and civilizations. On the summit of Monte S. Giuliano, in a splendid panoramic position on Trapani, in silence among the clouds, he places the city of Erice.

The city is surrounded by Cyclopean walls of the Elymian plant whose summits are located: the Norman Castle; the Duomo which preserves the original fourteenth-century Gothic forms.

The historic center has a typical medieval urban layout with small squares, narrow, winding streets with flowery courtyards.

A visit deserves the Cordici Museum in whose atrium is the Annunciation by Antonello Gagini.
