SEGESTA & SELINUNTE
Segesta is inserted in a system of rolling hills that enclose its precious jewels: the Temple and the Theater. The Doric temple – Sicilian 5th century, rises intact and majestic on a hill in the middle of a picturesque valley. The Greek theater of the II century dug into the rock, overlooking from the top of Monte Barbaro. A large sanctuary of the 5th century complete the current design of the archaeological park of Segesta still to be explored. Selinunte the mythical city of Magna Graecia whose remains came to light thanks to the work of two English architects, in 1823. The excavations have brought to light the remains of religious complexes and the acropolis, the grandiose walls and the sanctuary of the Malophoros.
